Bring the Rugby World Cup to your School

Posted: Oct 14 2015

With Japans shock win over the Springboks and England already out of the competition this Rugby World Cup is turning out to be very entertaining.

Although England are out of the game the atmosphere in London is still very much alive with many rugby fans from all over the world gathering together to support their teams.

Rugby Fan Zones

Many schools have been arranging trips out to visit the Rugby Fan Zones during the day. If you have not yet visited a Rugby Fan Zone there are many activities for the children to take part in such as tackling inflatables along with interesting facts and rules of the game.

There are 3 Fan Zones in Central London, to see a complete list of Rugby Fan Zones across the UK please click here.

Rugby Teaching Resources (not just for PE!)

If you haven’t done so already you can register on the England Rugby Teaching Resource website to gain access to practical ideas and tools to see how Rugby can fit into your classes. There are many ideas available to download from the website, and you do not have to be a PE teacher as there are plenty of relevant resources for Math’s, Geography, History, Science, English, RE and Art teachers.
