Our client, a specialist SEN school, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will lead a class of 7 students, each with individualised learning needs, supported by 3 experienced Teaching Assistants in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs and abilities of each student, ensuring accessibility and differentiation.
Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and other complex learning difficulties.
Work collaboratively with TAs to provide an inclusive, supportive, and structured learning environment that promotes emotional and social development.
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to achieve the best outcomes.
Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and external professionals, providing regular updates on student progress and well-being.
Foster a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom atmosphere where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using positive reinforcement and other strategies to support students' emotional regulation.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status or relevant SEN teaching qualification.
Experience working in a SEN setting, preferably with children with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
Strong understanding of child development and the challenges faced by children with special educational needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
A creative, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching, with a passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.
