Lower KS2 SEND TA Teaching Assistant - Islington Primary School - September 2025 Start

Are you an experienced TA Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs? A vibrant and supportive primary school in Islington is looking for a dedicated Lower KS2 TA Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025 through to July 2026.

This full-time position is ideal for someone with strong behaviour management skills and previous experience working with children with special needs in a KS2 setting. The school offers a nurturing environment, excellent leadership, and ongoing support for staff.

Role Details:

• Position: KS2 TA Teaching Assistant

• Location: Islington, North London

• Start Date: September 2025

• Duration: Full academic year (until July 2026)

• Pay Rate: £95-£102 per day PAYE (with a pay rise after 12 weeks)

• Trial Days: Taking place ASAP

About the Role:

As a KS2 TA Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND. You will be based in a Lower KS2 classroom, supporting children with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech & language delays.

This role requires a proactive, patient, and reliable KS2 TA Teaching Assistant who is confident managing challenging behaviour while fostering a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a KS2 TA Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary school

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• A genuine passion for supporting children with special needs

• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents
