SEND Early Years Teaching Assistant - Islington

Location: London Borough of Islington
Hours: 08:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, Long-term placement

Daily rate: £90-£100 p/day PAYE

SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a vibrant and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Islington to find a compassionate and skilled EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The Role:

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will be working within Nursery and Reception, providing tailored support to children with SEND, ensuring they have access to a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
✅ 1:1 and small group support for children with additional needs
✅ Supporting communication, social skills, and early learning development
✅ Assisting with personal care and nappy changing as required
✅ Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCPs and individualized learning strategies
✅ Creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages confidence and independence

The Ideal Candidate:

🌟 Experience supporting pupils with SEND (Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Speech & Language needs, etc.)
🌟 Previous EYFS or Reception experience in a school or nursery setting
🌟 A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young children
🌟 A strong understanding of child development and early learning strategies
🌟 A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
