SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Islington
Full-time | Term Time Only | £90-£101 per day (PAYE)

A friendly and nurturing one-form entry primary school in Islington is looking to appoint an experienced and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025. This is a long-term, full-time role ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children with special educational needs.

Key Details:

• Start Date: September 2025

• Schedule: Monday to Friday

• Hours: 08:30am - 3:45pm

• Rate: £90 - £101 per day (PAYE)

• Contract: Term time only - Long-term

Role Responsibilities:

• Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support for children in Reception and Year 1 with Autism

• Delivering both in-class support and interventions outside the classroom focused on learning, emotional wellbeing, and behaviour regulation

• Collaborating closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure individual needs are met

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with Autism

• A calm, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young learners

• Strong skills in managing behaviour and promoting emotional regulation

• The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
