Inclusion and Pastoral Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Barking & Dagenham
Hours: Full-time or part-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (38.6 weeks per year)
Salary: Full-time equivalent £21,544

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to ensure students feel included and valued.
Help create a welcoming, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
Deliver targeted interventions to support students' emotional and academic growth.
Collaborate closely with teachers to develop strategies that meet the needs of children with diverse learning requirements.
Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering a supportive school community.
Monitor student progress and actively contribute to meetings and reports when needed.

What We're Looking For:

A genuine commitment to supporting children's well-being and education.
Experience working with children, particularly in a pastoral or inclusion role (preferred but not essential).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to adapt, stay proactive, and work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward supporting students with unique needs.
A passion for making a meaningful difference in students' lives.
