SANZA Teaching Agency are delighted to support a brilliant primary school in Havering. They are looking for a teaching assistant to support a girl in year 1 with Autism.

The girl is semi- verbal/has limited speech but this is developing. Therefore, speech and language development will play a large part in this role.

Details:

• Immediate start
• Full-time
• Long-term contract until July 2026
• Hornchurch location

About you:

• Previous teaching assistant/school-based experience

• Ideally have previous experience with speech and language development
• Solid understanding of Autism
• Ability to use strategies to encourage interaction and expression
• Understanding of sensory needs of children with Autism and how best to support this
• Ability to connect with children and form trusting relationships
