Experienced SENCO - Immediate Start | Barnet, North London
A large, inclusive school in Barnet, North London is seeking an experienced SENCO for an immediate start.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident SEND leader to take responsibility for the strategic and day-to-day leadership of SEND provision across the school.
Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will drive high-quality SEND provision, ensuring pupils with additional needs receive the support, intervention and opportunities they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the school's SEND provision in line with the school SEND Code of Practice.
- Oversee the identification, assessment and support of pupils with SEND.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, inclusive provision across the school.
- Lead on adaptive teaching, staff training and professional development.
- Support provision for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
- Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, carers and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate SEND records, policies and statutory documentation.
- Monitor pupil progress and ensure interventions are effective.
- Support safeguarding and the needs of vulnerable pupils.
- Manage SEND resources and contribute to school improvement priorities.
