Are you an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role supporting a child with additional needs? SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a welcoming primary school in Camden seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from October through to the end of the academic year.

Role Summary

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a pupil with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence and achieve their individual targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Support communication, emotional regulation and social development
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Monitor progress and contribute to pupil reviews
  • Encourage independence and positive engagement in learning

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Patient, caring and resilient approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Relevant TA qualification or SEN training is desirable

Pay and Progression

£95-£110 per day depending on experience.
The highest rate of £110 per day is typically available to candidates with significant SEN experience, specialist SEND training, proven success supporting pupils with additional needs and strong school-based references.
