Introduction

SANZA Teaching Agency is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in East London from October 2026 until July 2027.
This part-time opportunity offers the chance to work within a busy Reception class where outdoor learning plays a significant role in children's development. The school is looking for a team player who is passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive during their first years of education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support learning and development within a Reception class
  • Assist with indoor and outdoor learning activities
  • Encourage positive social, emotional and academic development
  • Support phonics, communication, language and early maths activities
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and EYFS team
  • Help maintain a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment
  • Promote positive behaviour and independence

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience working within EYFS, Nursery or Reception
  • A nurturing, proactive and positive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence supporting learning through play
  • Understanding of child development within the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Pay and Progression

£100 - £124.50 per day
The highest rate of £124.50 per day is available to candidates who can demonstrate substantial EYFS experience, recognised Teaching Assistant qualifications, strong references and the ability to make an immediate impact within a Reception setting.
