Year 6 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support

Location: Willesden Green, North West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £90-£110 per day, PAYE

SANZA Teaching Agency are delighted to recruit a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis at a primary school in Willesden Green.

Strong behaviour management skills are essential. The school needs someone who can build a positive relationship with the pupil while maintaining clear boundaries and providing calm, consistent support.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 support in lessons and throughout the school day.

  • Use effective behaviour strategies to support engagement and participation.

  • Help the pupil manage emotions, develop confidence and access learning.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting primary-aged children with challenging behaviour.

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

  • A patient, resilient and consistent approach.

  • The ability to build trust while maintaining firm, fair boundaries.

  • Previous 1:1 or SEMH experience is desirable.
