SEN Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Location: Whitechapel, Tower Hamlets, East London

Salary: Inner London MPS 1-6 (£41,729 - £54,131 per annum) + SEN Allowance (depending on experience)

Start Date: January start, featuring a paid handover period in December

Requirement: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

The Role & Support Network

* The Pupils: Lead and inspire a small, tight-knit class of 10 wonderful children with complex needs, crafting engaging, deeply personalised learning journeys.

* The Team: Collaborate with a well-established, skilled team of 4 dedicated Teaching Assistants who already know the pupils and routines inside out.

* Leadership & Handover: Work closely with a hands-on, approachable SENDCO, benefiting from a paid handover period in December to settle in, build rapport, and transition smoothly before taking full ownership in January.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

* Leadership: Proactive classroom leadership with the ability to direct, support, and work alongside a team of Teaching Assistants.
