School Administrator Jobs

Administrators are vital to the effective running of a school, assisting in human resources, finance, admissions and other roles, sometimes as personal assistants to senior staff. Because of this, SANZA Teaching Agency has many openings for school administrators, both in London and the rest of the country, updated on a regular basis.

Although no teaching or supervisory work would be expected, clerical staff in schools often come into contact with pupils and parents, when working on reception for example, and will work closely with teachers and support staff.

As a school administrator your may be expected to keep confidential records on children, staff and school business, assist with the workload of senior staff, arrange and organise meetings, interviews, field trips and other events and order goods or services for the school. You might also be the first point of contact for parents, members of the public and outside organisations.

You should have a good reading, writing, numeracy and organisational skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, plus the ability to be flexible and self motivated. Previous experience of working in an educational environment can be advantageous when applying for vacancies of this type.

Specific qualifications are not generally required, though some schools may ask for candidates who are educated to GCSE level or the equivalent, especially in core subjects such as English and maths. You will also be expected to have Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.

For the latest school administrator vacancies, please register with SANZA Teaching Agency online today and we will keep you regularly updated.
