SANZA Teaching Agency is supporting a well-established Early Years Centre in West London to recruit an experienced SENCO for a part-time maternity cover position. Role Summary

As SENCO, you will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the setting, ensuring children with additional needs receive the appropriate support and interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage SEND provision across the Early Years Centre.
  • Identify, assess and monitor children with additional needs.
  • Develop and review Support Plans and SEND documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with families, staff and external agencies.
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues on inclusive practice.
  • Coordinate referrals and liaise with specialist services.
  • Ensure SEND provision meets statutory requirements and best practice.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should:
  • Have previous experience as a SENCO or within a SEND leadership role.
  • Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be working towards it, or have significant relevant SEND leadership experience.
  • Have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • Have experience working with children in Early Years or Primary settings.
  • Be passionate about inclusion and achieving positive outcomes for children with additional needs.

Pay and Progression

Salary is negotiable, dependent upon qualifications, SENCO experience, leadership responsibilities, and previous experience managing SEND provision. Candidates with substantial SEND leadership experience and recognised SENCO qualifications may be eligible for the highest salary available.
