SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newham to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children at the beginning of their educational journey. The role offers a combination of classroom support, small-group interventions, and 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs, including Autism.

Role Summary

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday (term time only)
  • Supporting children within Early Years and Reception
  • Providing a combination of 1:1 support, small-group interventions and general classroom assistance
  • Working closely with class teachers and support staff to promote pupil progress and wellbeing

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children's learning through play-based and structured activities
  • Assist with the delivery of phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities
  • Provide support for children with additional needs, including Autism, speech and language needs, and behavioural challenges
  • Encourage positive social, emotional and communication development
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assist with observations and monitoring pupil progress
  • Promote confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should:
  • Have previous experience working with children in an Early Years, school, nursery or childcare setting
  • Be confident supporting children with a range of additional needs
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate a patient, nurturing and proactive approach
  • Be committed to supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing

Pay and Progression

The daily rate for this position is £95 to £105 per day, depending on relevant experience and skills. Candidates with previous experience supporting pupils with Autism, speech and language needs, or those with substantial Early Years experience may be considered for the top rate of pay.
