Introduction

SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a proactive and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school supporting pupils with mild learning needs from October 2026 until December 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to gain valuable experience within a supportive educational setting. No previous SEN experience is required, as full training will be provided by the school.

About the School

This nurturing specialist setting supports pupils with mild learning needs in a positive and engaging environment. Classes are deliberately small, with approximately eight pupils per class, allowing staff to provide personalised support and build strong relationships with learners.
Pupils are taught according to their learning needs and abilities, meaning classes may include a range of ages working at similar developmental levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with their learning in small classroom groups
  • Encourage confidence, independence and engagement
  • Work alongside teachers and therapists where appropriate
  • Help deliver learning activities tailored to pupil needs
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Participate actively in classroom and school activities
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience working with children is desirable but not essential

Pay and Progression

£100 - £125 per day.
The highest rate of £125 per day is available to candidates who can demonstrate previous experience supporting children, strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to learning, relevant qualifications, or the ability to make an immediate positive impact within the school.
