SEN Class Teacher - Primary Autism Specialist

Camden, North London | Fixed-Term Contract | Key Stage 1 & 2

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher who believes every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, achieve and enjoy learning?

SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist school in Camden to recruit an outstanding SEN Class Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to join a supportive specialist setting, working with a small class of just 8 pupils aged 7-9 (Year 2-Year 4).

The school is looking for a passionate practitioner who understands Autism and knows how to create an engaging, structured and nurturing learning environment where every child can reach their potential.

The Role:

  • Lead teaching and learning for a small class of 8 pupils with additional needs.
  • Plan and deliver creative, exciting and highly differentiated lessons.
  • Develop communication, social interaction and independence skills.
  • Use specialist communication approaches, including Makaton and aided language boards.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong experience teaching children with Autism and complex additional needs.
  • A good understanding of communication strategies and alternative communication systems.
  • A creative approach to planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
